WORLD HEALTH DAY

Mother Divine Public School observed “World Health Day” on 7th April 2015 in the School Premises. On this occasion many activities were conducted with the purpose to create interest and inculcate the significance and importance of maintaining good and sound health of school students.

In the primary section, the trained nurse demonstrated the correct method of washing hands to the young children. She explained the significance of personal hygiene to the students. Moreover, she stressed upon the need of taking good and healthy diet and water for the proper development and growth of a child.

In the middle classes the teachers discussed the causes and effects of various communicable diseases which are common in every season. They explained the precautions to be taken to prevent the spread of such diseases. Children came up with their own views on the subject.

A poster making competitions was organized among the students where they displayed their understanding of the subject. In fact the posters made by them were very attractive and informative. Last but not the least an interactive session was held with the students where they discussed how they would help in improving the community hygiene and make their country clean and healthy. Students were also guided about the precautions to be taken to avoid dengue and malaria infection. Many practical suggestions were provided. The day culminated on a very positive note where everyone was enriched by the experience.

Flags

“Let it be borne on the flag under which we rally in every exigency, that we have one country, one constitution, one destiny”

The students of Grades III to VIII came together to spread the message “We are the world, We are the Children”. They prepared the flags of about 15 nations from all over the world and displayed the unity and solidarity of humanity. The colourful extravaganza presented an awe aspiring view for all spectators. The young crusaders of peace and harmony pledged to spread the message of universal brotherhood.

Global Warming

“The Earth has enough for everyone’s need but not for everyone’s greed.”

The most urgent issue facing mankind is of increasing global warming in the world. The students of grades IX to XII carried out various activities to create awareness for the severity of like situation.

They held group discussions highlighting the CIP (Causes, Impact & Precautions) of the issue. There was a symposium of students representatives of various nations to discuss the steps needed to be undertaken. The students of grades XI & XII distributed saplings to the schools in vicinity to give the message of ‘Need of growing more trees’. The whole programme was successful in arresting the attention of the future leaders of the Earth.

Around the world in 30 days

“Vasudhev Kutumbkam” - The whole world is a family

Believing in the age old idiom, the pupils of grades VI, VII & VIII studied the ancient scripts, languages & mathematical calculations of various countries all over the world and presented the similarities between different cultures thus paving way to International peace & harmony.

Food Fiesta

“If more of us valued food & cheer above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world”

A ‘Food Fiesta’ was organized for grades III - VIII. The budding chefs prepared mouthwatering cuisines depicting the food culture of different countries. The Fiesta was lauded by one and all. The Chief guest & Judge Mrs. Neeru Sethi, renowned educationist tasted the food, interacted with the students & was highly impressed by their performance.
