School Building

Mother Divine School which is situated in the heart of city is well ventilated, having a healthy environment for the students : -

  • Both the buildings have spacious and big rooms with sturdy furniture and latest teaching aids.
  • The school provides an excellent transport service to ferry the students under the strict vigilance of trained staff.
  • There are two well equipped computer labs having Multimedia computers with colored monitors. The labs have connectivity to high speed Internet through Board Band. The computer labs are also equipped with a wide range of application software.
  • The school has spacious and well equipped Biology, Physics and Chemistry Labs where students carry out various, scientific experiments.
  • The school has large water coolers with aqua guards at each floor to provide cool and purified water.
  • All the students have an access to a well equipped medical room where they are taken care of by a qualified nurse.
  • The school prepares the students for inter school competitions and they come with flying colors and win many prizes.
  • Close circuit cameras are installed for proper control over the students and to have co-ordination with the teachers.

Library

Mother Divine has a well equipped library with a collection of more than 40,000 books and 650 CD’s. Apart from books, library also subscribes a large number of online and print journals, wide variety of magazines, newspapers and other reading materials. The library supports the teaching, research and extension programmes of the school. All Student, Faculty and Staff members are entitled to make use of the library facilities on taking library membership. OPAC can also be accessed through any terminal on the school Campus Network. The collection in the Library can also be searched through Web OPAC. The students who like to study on their own or in group find that studying in the library is very convenient. The librarian work closely with teaching staff to ensure that the relevant books, journals & electronic resources are accessible.

The Library, in conjunction with other departments and staff within the school, works towards achieving the following aims and objectives:-

  • To provide a supportive and stimulating environment for students and staff.
  • To foster the enjoyment of reading as a recreational activity in all members of the school.
  • To support school’s curriculum by providing access to relevant resources for student and staff.
  • To provide the opportunities for the students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to access library resources.
  • To develop an awareness in students of the importance of books and other resources as a means of recording and sharing human achievements, failures and aspirations.
  • To contribute to the development of positive personal attributes within each students.

GENERAL RULES :-

  • The students should bring their identity cards while visiting library. Without I-card one may be asked to leave the library.
  • No one is allowed to take his personal/issued books inside the library.
  • Everyone is required to put all their belongings at the property counter.
  • One must get oneself checked at exit point while going outside.
  • Everyone is requested to maintain PIN DROP SILENCE in & around the Library.
  • One must not disturb the arrangement of books on the shelves.
  • A book once taken out of the shelf must be left lying on the nearby table. The Library staff will place the book at its proper place.
  • If anyone doesn’t find what he actually requires, the librarian & the library staff will be pleased to help him.
  • One must help to keep the books fresh & clean.
  • If anyone has an overdue book, one can not get another book issued until it is returned. Students must pay for lost or damaged books.
