OPENING OF SPORTS DAY WAS ANNOUNCED WITH GRACE
THERE WERE DRILLS, AEROBICS AND DIFFERENT KINDS OF RACE

PARTICIPANTS WERE FOCUSED AND HAD A ZEAL TO WIN
ACQUIRING MEDALS WOULD SURELY IMPRESS THEIR KIN

ENERGY, TENSION AND COMpETITIVENESS WAS IN THE AIR
SPIRIT, ENTHUSIASM WAS SEEN THAT WAS RARE

WINNERS WERE JUBILANT AND FULL OF PRIDE
LOSERS TOOK THE DEFEAT IN THEIR STRIDE

THE AUDIENCE WERE EXCITED AND CRAZY
THEY APPLAUDED AND SHOUTED IN A FRENZY

EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTH WITHOUT MISHAP
WHOLE DAY WAS WELL PLANNED WITHOUT ANY GAP

DRILLS, DANCES AND AEROBICS STOLE THE SHOW
THEY WERE IMPRESSIVE, UNIQUE AND ADDED GLOW

THE CHIEF GUEST WAS PLEASED AND FULL OF PRAISE
THE ACHIEVEMENTS HAD GIVEN SCHOOL’S NAME A FURTHER RAISE

THE SNAPS OF MEDAL WINNERS WERE SHOT
THEIR VICTORY HAD MESMERIZED ALL A LOT

‘TUG OF WAR’ WAS AN ICING ON THE CAKE
THE FOUR HOUSES COMPETED WITH THEIR PRIDE AT STAKE

THERE WAS A QUEST TO WIN BUT THANKFULLY, NO ACRIMONY
SPORTS MAN’S SPIRIT PREVAILED THE DAY THAT WAS SUNNY

THE SOUNDS OF ‘HIP HIP HURRAY’ RESONATED THE AIR
ALL CARE WAS TAKEN TO TAKE DECISIONS THAT WERE FAIR

YEAR AFTER YEAR, THIS DAY IS CHERISHED

SPORTS - A COMBINATION OF SPEED, STAMINA AND STRENGTH

The school celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 23rd Dec. 2015 at the School playground. With great fervour. Even the chilly winter day could not dampen the sporting spirit of the students.

The celebration began with the lightening of the torch. The tiny tots of Primary School presented beautiful drills. The synchronization of the children during the drill was worth appreciating. ‘Yoga’ presented by the children of Grade IV - V was the main attraction of the day. The ‘Ball Drill’ presented by the boys of X and XII Grades stole the show. They made a pyramid at the end. There was a thunderous applause from every corner of the ground. Lemon spoon races, relay races, 100m races by the students of middle school were lauded by one and all. The winners of these races were given away medals & certificates by the chief guest Dr. Bhupender Singh, Ex. Deputy Director of Education.

The day ended with the recital of the National Anthem by the students together. Indeed, it was a successful celebration which filled the students with the sports man spirit.

CBSE CLUSTER XII ATHLETIC MEET - 2015

Events may come, Events may go
But the memories we cherish
Will go on forever....

 

CBSE CLUSTER XII ATHLETIC MEET - 2015 hosted by Mother Divine Public School Rohini Delhi from 20th Nov. to 22nd Nov. 2015 left an indelible imprints on the mind and heart of every participant. Around 752 boys and 442 girls from various school of Delhi participated in the events such as long jump, triple jump, high jump, Javelin throw, Hammer throw, Short put, Relay race and many more athletic events in all the age groups. Some students gave a sterling performance, who showed signs of developing into the players of good reckoning in future.

Mr. Pushkar Vohra, the joint Director sports CBSE was the Guest of Honour on the occasion of Prize Distribution ceremony of the event. Mr. Vohra has been promoting sports in CBSE and during his tenure many disciplines in sports have been added. At present CBSE is hosting sports in 20 disciplines of sports and games at cluster level, Zonal Level and National Level under his able guidance. In his address to the students, he appealed to the head and heart of the students and inspired then to play more and more outdoor games.

He gave away the trophies and merit certificates to the winners. The Overall Championship Trophy was won by Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh.

The two days CBSE Cluster XII Athletic Meet was the most cherishable moment for the school. The Principal proposed vote of thanks.

CBSE NORTH ZONE-I CHESS TOURNAMENTS - 2015

It was a proud moment for MOTHER DIVINE PUBLIC SCHOOL, when the CBSE - NORTH ZONE 1 Chess tournament was inaugurated in a grand manner on October 16, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the school premises. The event witnessed the galaxy of dignitaries such as:-

  • DR. MAZIN AL MASOUDI, Incharge of the league of Arab States Mission.
  • FAEQ. H. H. HAMZA, Counselor, Embassy of State of Palestine.
  • MR. BHARAT CHAUHAN, Chief Executive Officer of All India Chess Federation President of Delhi Chess Association.
  • COL. R.K. SATYAN, Additional Director Schools (Army).
  • MRS. SHASHI BALA SAINI, Education Officer Zone 13.
  • MR. GAURAV GUPTA, Cabinet Treasure Lions Club International.
  • MRS. B. TIRKHI, Retd. - Deputy Director District West A.

The illustrious and eminent guests were welcomed by Dr. Bhupender Singh, Ex. DDE. The programme began with the lighting of lamp in the echo of chanting of shlokas followed by a dance recital and a performance of school band.

The games were declared open by releasing the balloons by the dignitaries. The programme culminated with the march past by the contingents of all participating teams. A game of chess was played between Mr. Bharat Chauhan and a girl player of the host school. All the participants took the oath for the glory of the sports and honour of the game. The management and staff of the school left no stone unturned to make the whole programme astoundingly successful.

The three days event witnessed a keen and intense competition between the young grand masters of about 70 schools. More than 700 participants showcased their talent in 6 rounds. There were three categories U-19, U-14 and U-10. The winners were given medals and trophies in a gala ceremony on October 18, 2015 (Sunday) by the distinguished personalities Mr. Dinesh Kumar Bhawsar, Deputy Education Advisor MHRD Govt. of India and Mr. Rajesh Bajaj, Director DPS Etawah, Director P.M. Publisher. The event was organized under the able guidance of International Arbiters Mr. R.S. Tiwari and Mr. Sandeep Chitkara.
