Voting is the expression of our commitment to ourselves, one another, this country and this world."
Elections are held in our school on 12 May 2023. The students of Grade 9 & 10 filled their nominations for various positions. The students started with a campaign for their respective posts. The Contenders for the various coveted positions read out their manifesto to convince the students that they are the right choice for the positions and they also made attractive posters to pin on the notice board. The final stage of the process was the casting votes by the students. More than 500 students casted their vote. These elections provide an opportunity to the students to witness and exercise their fundamental Right to Vote.
The entire polling process was in all respects a democratic and anonymous process. Students exercised their Right to Franchise by choosing the candidates of their choice through secret ballot.
At the end of the process, votes were counted by the respective members and winning party name was announced. The parties that won are Council of Davinians and Jhilmil Democratic Party.
