Mother Divine Public School (Nursery Wing) celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour to mark the 75th year of freedom from the British rule. On this special occasion, the programme started with flag hoisting Ceremony by Mr. A.K Bakshi Sir (Director of Academics) and Ms. Seema Sharma (Nursery Wing Head) . Ma'am addressed the gathering appealing to their nationalistic spirit and urging them to take pride in being an Indian and fulfilling one's duty with responsibility.The programme initiated by paying tribute to "Shri Pingali Venkayya" who was an indian freedom fighter and a Gandhian, he was the designer of the flag on which the Indian National Flag was based . The programme was followed by a musical rendition by the school choir which sang patriotic songs that awakened everyone's feelings towards the motherland.Our Little patriots conveyed the important message of patriotism and national spirit through role plays, poetry recitals, dance and rendering of songs. The school was adorned with Tricolor hangings, buntings and flags. The commemoration has created an ambience of patriotism in the premises. The programme culminated by urging everyone to become the part of "Har ghar Tiranga Abhiyan" to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahosav and take the movement further. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
