"Continuous efforts are the key to unlock our potential."
Playing Games makes us disciplined in life and regular efforts in it develops skills and potential in us. India has always promoted games and there are many indigenous games that people play in towns, villages that are also known as the 'Gully Games'. Out of them, one of the games is 'Piththu game', also known as 'Seven Stones'. It is a game from the Indian subcontinent involving a ball and a pile of flat stones, generally played between two teams in a large outdoor area.
To make the young children of this generation aware of this game, the Sports Department of Mother Divine Public School organized an event 'Indigenous Sports Day' for the students of Grades I -V on 17 August , 2022. The students enjoyed the game and participated whole – heartedly. Various teams participated and the winning team was rewarded with the badges. Children were happy to receive the mark of appreciation. They took some new learnings with them and promised to take this game ahead with their continuous efforts.
Just keep going and never let the fear of striking out get in your way!
