"MATHEMATICS is not about numbers, equations, computations or algorithms; It is about understandings"
National Mathematics Day is celebrated every year on December 22, honouring the birth anniversary of mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan. With an initiative to pay a tribute to the legendary mathematician and to spread the joy of learning or understanding of Mathematics, the Mathematics Club of Mother Divine Public School organised Calculus Quizlet - Maths Quiz for Grades III- V on Thursday, 22nd December, 2022. Five teams named as Math Players, Math Survivors, Math Wizards, Number Sultans and Number Ninjas participated in the quiz each consisting of four participants. There were total four rounds - three rounds were based on Mental Maths and the last round was 'Scratch your brain'. Students were well prepared and participated with a lot of enthusiasm showcasing their potential. The Main objective of the quiz was to encourage children to look beyond their textual knowledge and explore the horizon of possibilities. Students had a good team spirit wherein all the students were busy giving tough fight to make their team win. The event helped the students in identifying their capabilities and motivated them to learn and expand their knowledge. It also enhanced the inquisitiveness of the students thereby building confidence, reasoning and learning at the same time. It was truly an enriching experience for all.
