Holistic development of a student is possible only when he/she is physically fit and emotionally balanced. National Sports Day is celebrated every year on 29th August. This is the birth anniversary of Hockey wizard, Major Dhyan Chand. The idiom "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" holds true even for the young learners. Playing sports, whether team-based or individual, is essential for children as it is not just physical activity, but also helps build children's self-esteem, confidence, social skills and motivate them to excel in life. In recognition of the importance of sports in one's life, Mother Divine Public School (Nursery Wing) celebrated National Sports Day with great zeal. The school has organised various Sports activities such as Relay Race, Hurdle Race and Javelin Throw for the little munchkins. The students engaged themselves in all the sports activities as well as enjoyed it to the fullest. The children participated whole-heartedly in the event. The aim of this event was to encourage and propagate relevance of fitness and sports amongst our little learners.
