“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention”
Mother Divine Public School, Rohini, organized a visit to Shiv Ashray Old Age Home for the students of Grade V on 15th October, 2025. The visit aimed to foster compassion, empathy and respect for the elderly among young learners, while encouraging them to celebrate the true spirit of Diwali through sharing and togetherness.
During the visit, students interacted warmly with the residents, sang songs, played traditional games and conveyed heartfelt messages of love and joy. They also distributed Diwali gifts such as diyas, candles and handmade greeting cards, spreading light and happiness among the elderly residents.
The activity provided students with a meaningful opportunity to understand the importance of emotional connection, gratitude and social responsibility. It truly reflected the values of empathy and care that the school strives to instill in its learners.
The visit was a heart-touching and enriching experience, leaving both students and residents with smiles, cherished memories and a renewed sense of warmth and humanity.
