"Feel proud for what they have done for their country and wish nothing but the best for this great nation."
Learning a foreign language, and the culture that goes with it , is one of the most useful things we can do to broaden the empathy and imaginative sympathy and cultural outlook of children. On the occasion of “Bastille Day” also known as “La fête nationale” which is the French national day, ( 14 th July), we celebrated this day with an educational and festive “Flag making activity” at our school on 18th July, 2023 for the students of Grades VI – VII. Eager and excited to vent out their devotion, students got actively involved in making attractive French flags with astonishing quotes depicting the national festival of France. It was a captivating and enlightening experience for all the students. The purpose was to commemorate the historical significance of the French Revolution and instil an appreciation for French culture and values.
Overall, The Bastille Day celebration in school was a wonderful blend of education, cultural appreciation and enjoyment. It fostered a sense of unity, promoted historical awareness, highlighted the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity and allowed us to explore the vibrant culture of France.
