Mathematics is the most beautiful and powerful creation of the human spirit. While mathematics can assist in the aesthetic appeal of visual art, visual art is able to depict mathematical concepts in an elegant and effective manner. Mathematics and art involve drawing and the use of shapes and forms, as well as an understanding of spatial concepts, two and three dimensions, measurement, estimation, and pattern. With an objective to provide creative space, explore and express their ideas, Mathematics Club of Mother Divine Public School conducted Rangoli Competition on July 18, 2023.
