"The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell us how to think but to give us questions to think upon."
Storytelling is one of the most effective ways to communicate with students. A story stays with the children much longer than facts or statistics as it is not a seemingly endless download of information but a never-ending journey of learning and understanding of the world around us. To foster the skills of listening and reading, a storytelling session was conducted by Mother Divine Public School for Grades- Nursery to II on Monday, 31st July 2023.
Stories create magic and a sense of wonder in the world. Stories teach us about life, about ourselves, and about others. Storytelling is a unique way for kids to develop an understanding, respect, and appreciation, and can also promote a positive attitude.
The story session was enacted by the students under the guidance of their teachers. Some of the students dramatized the story of ‘The Hunter and the Pigeon, wherein they were dressed in different costumes enacted their part beautifully, and gave a wonderful message to their friends about Teamwork.
The teachers and students applauded all the participants for their efforts and presentation. Overall, it was a great learning experience that the young learners thoroughly enjoyed.
