Students of Mother Divine Public School participated in a vibrant and enriching series of activities conducted by Yamuna House on 8th August 2025. These included Rakhi Rachna, Paper Flute Making, and Dahi Handi Pot Decoration, aligning with the festive spirit of Raksha Bandhan and Janmashtami.
In this creative and patriotic initiative, students of classes III and IV designed and crafted handmade Rakhis. These were sent to soldiers as a token of appreciation for their dedication and bravery.The activity received enthusiastic participation, with children expressing their heartfelt emotions through vibrant and thoughtful designs. Teachers observed a strong sense of purpose and pride among students as they engaged in this noble task.
Students from class V actively participated in making flutes using paper to commemorate Lord Krishna’s love for music and art. The students displayed immense creativity and innovation while designing their flutes. The activity successfully combined cultural learning with hands-on creativity.
Students from classes VI to VIII decorated earthen pots in vibrant and imaginative styles, celebrating Lord Krishna’s playful and joyful spirit.The beautifully decorated pots were displayed in classrooms, adding a festive ambiance and visual celebration of the festival.
The Rakhi Rachna, Paper Flute Making, and Dahi Handi Pot Decoration activities provided students a meaningful platform to express creativity, develop fine motor skills, and connect with cultural and national values. These periodic events continue to foster holistic development in students while keeping them rooted in Indian traditions.
